Cala Liberotto

Cala Liberotto is an emerald bay with coarse-grained golden sand, surrounded by pale rocks.

Not far from the shore, three large rocks, accessible thanks to the shallow water, emerge from the water, giving the cove an exotic feel.

Behind it, the Sos Alinos pond appears, lined with reeds and agaves, an ideal refuge for aquatic birds, who choose these ravines for nesting.

The surrounding Mediterranean vegetation also features rounded shapes and the summer redness of prickly pears, dwarf palms, and myrtle bushes that perfume the beach.

The unique shape of the cove makes it a maze of paths to explore on foot.

Before reaching the promontory that separates it from Cala Ginepro, another Orosei wonder made of sand dunes dotted with Mediterranean scrub and a sea of iridescent hues, you’ll stroll relaxing for hundreds of meters along a sandy shore surrounded by a thick pine forest.

You can reach the small, delightful beaches of sas Linnas Siccas and sa Curcurica.

Cala Liberotto, often windswept, is an ideal destination for spearfishing enthusiasts in the summer, while in the winter it becomes a thrilling spot for surfers.

It is accessible to the disabled, with parking, beach equipment rentals, and refreshment stands.

The area is as beautiful by day as it is magical at night with its vibrant nightlife.

The vast coastal area of Orosei is a spectacle, where you’ll find other gems: to the south, the wide, long beach of su Petrosu, with golden sand and wild charm, and the Marina, with a beautiful stretch of sand over five kilometers long, whose various stretches are named su Barone, Isporoddai, and Osalla.

To the north, there’s Fuile ‘e Mare, beloved by water sports and diving enthusiasts, and Mattanosa, with white and pink sand, fringed by Mediterranean scrub, and a gently sloping seabed.

Finally, on the border with the territory of Siniscola, lies the protected oasis of Bidderosa, a natural paradise unparalleled, not only in Sardinia.
